Terms & conditions
The rules for buying from Needs & Goods, in plain language.
Last updated 3 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply whenever you use this website or buy from it. By placing an order you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t place an order — and do ask us if anything here is unclear.
Who you are buying from
Needs & Goods is operated by [registered business name], [registered address], trade licence [trade licence number], [e-TIN / BIN if applicable]. You can reach us at contact@needsandgoods.com.
Accounts
You can check out as a guest or with an account. If you create one, keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for orders placed from your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that is used for fraud or abuse.
Products and prices
- Prices are in Bangladeshi taka (BDT) and include [VAT where applicable]. Prices shown in another currency are an estimate for convenience; you are always charged in BDT.
- Delivery charges are added at checkout, before you confirm the order.
- We describe and photograph products as accurately as we can, but colours on screen vary and packaging may change. Sizes and specifications are on each product page.
- If a price on the site is clearly a mistake, we’ll contact you before we ship and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. It’s accepted when we confirm it (by email or by phone) — usually within a working day. Until then we may decline it, for example if an item has sold out, the delivery address can’t be reached, or the order looks fraudulent; if you’ve already paid, we refund you in full.
We may limit the quantity of an item per customer. Stock is held for your order once it’s placed (cash on delivery) or paid (online payment).
Payment
- Online payment — card or mobile banking through the payment provider shown at checkout. Your payment details go to the provider directly; we never see them.
- Cash on delivery — pay the courier the order total when the parcel arrives. We may call to confirm a cash-on-delivery order before shipping it, and may ask for advance payment of the delivery charge from customers who have refused earlier deliveries.
- Card EMI — where a product shows EMI, the instalments are arranged by your card-issuing bank under its own terms after an ordinary card payment.
Delivery, returns and refunds
Where we deliver, what it costs, how long it takes, how to return an item and how refunds are paid are set out on the delivery & returns page, which forms part of these terms. Risk in a physical item passes to you when it is delivered.
Digital products
Digital downloads are delivered to your order page and email once payment is confirmed, and can be re-downloaded from your library. Their use is covered by the licence, and how delivery works is explained on downloads.
Offers, coupons, vouchers and points
- Campaign prices apply only while the campaign is live, to the products it covers. The price at the moment you place the order is the one you pay.
- One coupon or one voucher can be used per order. Each code has its own conditions (minimum order, dates, products), shown when you apply it.
- Free gifts are subject to stock and are added only while the offer runs.
- Coupons, vouchers, gifts and points have no cash value and can’t be exchanged for money.
- We may withdraw an offer that is being abused, and cancel orders that rely on that abuse.
Reviews and questions
Reviews and questions you post are shown publicly. Keep them honest, relevant and lawful — no abuse, personal details or advertising. We may moderate or remove content that breaks these rules, and by posting you allow us to show it on the site.
Privacy
How we handle your personal data is explained in the privacy policy.
Our responsibility to you
If something we sell is faulty or not as described, we’ll repair, replace or refund it as set out on the delivery & returns page. We aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, for delays caused by events outside our control (such as strikes, floods or courier disruption), or for misuse of a product. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Bangladeshi consumer law, including the Consumers’ Rights Protection Act, 2009.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and disputes fall under the courts of [Dhaka]. Please contact us first — most problems are quickest solved directly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. The version in force when you placed an order is the one that applies to it.
